Terrific Tricks Trek
Monday 26 October
11.45am and 2.15pm
Take a guided tour around the village with our expert guide Michael. He’ll show you some of the places that inspired the books, including Matilda’s library and Sophie’s orphanage from The BFG. While you wander, he’ll read extracts from the books featuring some fantastic – if slightly naughty – TRICKS. Find out about newts in water jugs, pheasants in prams and dead mice in sweet jars. Don’t try any of this at home, though — you have been warned!
For age 5 and over.
£5 per person in addition to Museum entry

Twilight Tricks
Thursday 29 October
5.30pm to 8pm
Head to the Roald Dahl Museum for an evening of foulsome frights and swashboggling surprises! Explore the Museum’s creepy courtyard after dark, come face-to-face with a glowing juggler and play with some shape-shifting shadows. Make your own spooky mask, explore the galleries, play with slime and enjoy some crafts by candlelight – if you dare…
Pick up a trail and head out of the Museum for your very own trick or treat experience. You’ll meet some unexpected characters along the way and get a sweet treat when you return to the Museum. Finish it all off with a Halloween cake and drink of Formula 86 from the Filling-Station.
Adults and children age 3 and over £12
(Early bird booking until 20 September £10)
