If you are looking for a new playground to go to we loved our visit Tatton Park! It’s part of the Tatton Park estate with it’s gorgeous mansion house, parkland, gardens, farm and regular family friendly events.
We went on a sunny day and spent hours playing there, they had a lovely baby area with a small slide and swing set and a nice toddler area including two climbing frames and slides, monkey bars and netting frame!
Our little girl especially loved the tyre swing having never been on one before and the zip wire- which was great fun for her and not so much for me running backwards and forwards!
I was also really impressed with these swings- I’d never quite seen anything like it before. Our little girl is 3 and a half and not quite big enough yet for the “grown up swings” or perhaps it’s me that is too worried she’ll fall backwards but these swings had a back on which was lovely to be able to teach her how to use a swing properly with the peace of mind she wouldn’t fall off!
It was also the first time our baby had been on a swing, she wasn’t so sure if she liked it but I couldn’t resist getting a quick photo of them both on together.
We finished our trip with an ice cream and a go on the little merry go round opposite! We will be back very soon!
Parking: depends on the season but currently £9.50 (May 2024) – no extra cost to visit the playground
Top tip: Combine with a day in the gardens or catch the train to visit Tatton Park Farm
Tatton Park regularly have great family friendly events and trails running especially during the school holidays. Great to combine with a trip to the play park.
